The Forgotten Ones: Homeless Abandoned Street Cows

In the bustling streets of cities, amidst the honking horns and hurried footsteps, there exists a silent, overlooked population – the homeless abandoned street cows. These gentle creatures, once revered as symbols of prosperity and revered in many cultures, now find themselves abandoned and neglected, left to wander the urban landscape in search of sustenance and shelter.

The plight of these street cows is often overshadowed by the more visible struggles of human homelessness, but their suffering is no less poignant. Many of them are cast aside once they are no longer deemed useful for milk or labor, left to fend for themselves in an unforgiving environment.

Unlike their counterparts in rural areas, street cows lack access to proper food, clean water, and veterinary care. They scavenge through trash bins and beg for scraps, their once majestic frames reduced to mere skeletons by malnutrition and disease.

Living on the streets also exposes them to various dangers, from traffic accidents to abuse by humans. Some are victims of deliberate cruelty, targeted by individuals who see them as nuisances or obstacles to urban development.

“Considering the poor situation of cows, CARE 4 COW has taken a step to relocate these cows to a natural ambiance located in Jhajjar, Haryana, where they will have the freedom to roam around and graze at their own will.

For these great and pious efforts, we need your support to make the land suitable and habitable. This includes barricading the farm, constructing sheds for the cows, providing potable water, ambulance services, medical facilities, etc.”

Every Cow Deserves Love and Care

At Care 4 Cow, we are dedicated to the welfare and protection of cows in need. As an NGO committed to cows rescue and rehabilitation, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of these gentle creatures who hold a sacred place in our culture and ecosystem.

Our journey began with a simple yet profound mission: to provide a safe haven for cows facing neglect, abuse, or abandonment especially in cities like Delhi NCR . Founded by a group of passionate Cow Lovers deeply connected to the cause, Care 4 Cow has grown into a beacon of hope for Cows in distress in Delhi NCR.

In the surrounding areas of Delhi city, we have collaborated with a few farmers where we can rehabilitate these homeless street cows and provide them with a natural grazing field where they can roam around and graze at their own will.

Jhajjar is one such place where we have successfully acquired 10 acres of land to rehabilitate cows. Now, it’s your turn to help these homeless cows by ensuring their home is properly barricaded so that they can feel safe and protected.

We also need help in developing a Gaushala where cows can rest at night, such as making cowsheds, arranging water sources, a storehouse to keep fodders, and medical facilities, among other necessities.

Kindly open your generous heart and donate to us for this humble and pious cause of cow protection, as Lord Krishna himself stressed in the Bhagavad Gita: “Krishi Gorakshya Vanijyam,” meaning cows should be protected and taken care of very nicely. No one is unaware of Lord Krishna’s love and care for cows, so much so that his prominent names are based on cows, such as Gopal and Govinda, recognizing his affection for them.

Jai Gaumata Jai Gopal!
